With years of experience as a professional massage therapist, Urban Decompression is owned and run by David Fireside, Licensed Massage Therapist from the SOMA INSTITUTE, The National School of Clinical Massage Therapy, and licensed by the State of Illinois as well as an active member of The American Massage Therapy Association.

David is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbanna with BS degree in Biology/Psychology. He specializes in therapeutic and wellness massage for all ages, combining the best of Swedish, Deep Tissue/Sports, Myofascial & Trigger Point techniques. Urban Decompression is proud to donate their services to The Chicago Marathon, The Avon Breast Cancer Walk and the Chicago Arthritis Walk. We also are a sponsor for the Chicago Arthritis Walk.

 
     

about the owner

After years in the business world David decided to pursue a new direction that would allow him to utlilize his undergraduate degree in life sciences and his love for working with people. As someone who has dealt with chronic pain issues himself, he knows the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle while also appreciating the immediate relief one can get from a massage.

David lives in Lincoln Square in Chicago with his wife Susan and daughter Elliana. He is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast. In the summer you will find David and his family at all the city festivals and Ravinia.
